I voted "personal reccomendation", although it was a PM through Ship of Fools so could legitimately be counted as that as well...

Same here.

For full transparency, I'm female and will therefore not be posting much but I hope to be a respectful guest and to listen and learn.

A bloke I met tonight mentioned Geezers for Jesus just before he reached for his Eukaleli.

I edit a Church Magazine and found out about the site on Parish Pump.co.uk who provide magazine material. Needless to say it is my website of the month in the magazine.

Hi everyone,

I oversee the 'Man Alive @ ABC' mens group (Aylestone Baptist Church) in Leicester. Our minister read the article on masculine spirituality in The Baptist Times. He passed the article on to me and I got the website address from there. I have very much enjoyed reading through some of the posts on the site and will hopefully contribute from time to time.
Best wishes, Carl

I read the article, Is church 'man' enough? by Tony Horsfall in Christianity magazine.
It is an interesting debate and I agree as a member of the 'ministry' team in our local church, Church of England, that the number of men in the church is low but the quality is excellent. Their dedication to the Church stands up well to the ladies.
Most of the activities tend to be geared towards the fairer sex but I do not have a problem with joining in; I'm pretty handy with the washing up, but no Marigold gloves, setting up and laying tables, gardening, cleaning,
fund raising for particular projects.
Most men need to be asked to 'do', but once their asked they join in.
Got to dash, Community Hall fundraising committee tonight, Quiz night Friday, Day Retreat Saturday, Preach Sunday and in betwee run a Churches bookshop with the lady volunteers.

I came across the site from a search on google I think. I'm currently a student for the ordained ministry in Ireland. I am hoping to do some research into what ministries are there available for men. I think that sites like this are important for other men to have some sort of fellowsip and understanding. Glad to be here.

A little boy asked his mother:"Why are you crying?"
